About

Claudia Strecker. Handmade in Paris.

“Buy and wear forever” is the value behind Claudia Strecker’s timeless design. All her bags are made of soft lamb leather, carefully designed for a rock’n’roll yet feminine look.

The Danish brand was established in 2002, the same year Claudia Strecker herself graduated from the world’s first and oldest fashion design school Esmod in Paris. During her studies she worked behind the scenes on shows as well as for Kenzo.

Already as a child she found her way into fashion through her parents, whom she joined on fashion exhibitions.

“I would borrow my mum’s clothes and dress up,” she remembers.

Today she finds most of her inspiration in vintage stores. This explains the romantic 1970’s look noticeable in Claudia Strecker’s use of bows, swirls, knots, zippers and fringes - details that are both functional and elegant.

Claudia Strecker was one of the first to wash her bags. At first she washed the leather before working with the material, but her Paris apartment quickly got crowded with skins hanging out to dry. Instead she put the whole finished bag in the washing machine at home, and the result was the raw, worn look, which Claudia Strecker is known for.

Her non-logo approach demands an extra high quality, which the skilled craftsmen working in her Parisian ateliér ensures. The quality of her work brings long-term joy, making her fine leather goods lasting evergreens in every woman’s closet.

“My bags are made for strong women. Meaning all women” - Claudia Strecker.
